This London based Marching Band has an impressive client list, individually performing with some of the most exclusive names in the music industry, including Martha Reeves, Take That, Clark Tracey, The James Taylor Quartet, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Nick Ross Orchestra.
HISTORY OF THE MARCHING BAND
The evolution of marching bands began in the military. As the importance of these bands on the battlefield decreased and they were no longer required to direct the movements of the troops the bands moved into ceremonial roles. In the late nineteenth century, they became popular in American life, through the musical work and leadership of John Philip Sousa, who headed the U.S. Marine Band. Sousa wrote many of the well-known marching tunes and started to take the Marine Band across the country for an annual autumn concert tour which helped solidify the popularity fo such bands.
