• Musicians Inc Barbershop Quartet are a charming singing quartet available to hire for parties, weddings and corporate entertainment in London, Manchester and the UK.

  These four male singers making up Musicians Inc Barbershop Quartet all trained at London’s leading music college’s and are true perfectionists when it comes to performing. They have a love for close harmony music, taking traditional barbershop music and intertwining it with their own arrangements of current pop music for a fun, fresh new take on the Barbershop Quartet.

  THE BEST BARBERSHOP QUARTET

  Previous engagements have included live broadcasts on Colin Murray’s Talksport show, where the quartet sang their own barbershop style versions of traditional football songs, engagements with London Livery companies, performances at ‘Proud Camden’ in the heart of Camden’s famous market and a television pilot for the comedian and presenter Jon Richardson.

  They performed for the Constable of the Tower and guests at the Tower of London for the Haig Housing Trust’s ‘Coming Home’ campaign, a charity helping severely wounded veterans and have also been engaged in recent years to promote Gillette’s ‘Movember’ Campaign, singing football chants such as Manchester City’s Blue Moon and Newcastle United’s Blaydon Races to promote awareness of male health issues.

  WHAT IS A BARBERSHOP QUARTET?

  Originating somewhere between the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the United States of America, the barbershop quartet is usually made up of a group of four singers. They sing music in the Barbershop style which is characterized by a four-part harmony without instrumental accompaniment. This is also known as acapella. The arrangement combines a lead, a bass, a tenor and a baritone. Each voice provides a different element of the song which culminates to create a harmony. Barbershop music is typified by the use of Close Harmony — all voices generally remain within one octave of each other. Famous examples of Barbershop Quartets include Haydn Quartet, the Musical Island Boys, and the Peerless Quartet.
