The Timeless Tradition of Carol Singing
A Rich History of Christmas Carol Songs
Our carol singers for hire are more than just performers; they’re guardians of a centuries-old tradition. Rooted in the heart of the festive season, carol singing has brought joy and warmth to generations. The origins of carol singing can be traced back to the Winter Solstice celebrations in ancient Europe. Over time, these pagan rituals evolved into the joyous Christmas carols we know and love today. The word “carol” itself comes from the Old French word “carole,” meaning a round dance or song of praise.
How we honour the tradition
- Authentic Performances: our carollers are trained to deliver authentic performances, capturing the essence of traditional carol singing.
- Timeless Tunes: a wide range of classic carols, from beloved favourites like “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells” to lesser-known gems.
- Festive Attire: our singers are dressed in traditional attire, adding to the authentic ambiance of your event.
