SOUL MUSIC HISTORY
As one of the most popular musical genres, Soul music originated in the African American community throughout the United States in the 1950s and early 1960s. It draws influences from African-American Gospel music and Rhythm and Blues and Jazz. Labels like Motown, Atlantic, and Stax helped popularise the genre and contributed to the dancing scenes during the Civil Rights Movement in America. Soul also became popular around the world, directly influencing rock music and the music of Africa.

They have performed on international festivals and stages throughout Europe and the US / Japan, including Glastonbury, Bestival, Latitude, Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, Montreux Jazz Festival, Lollapalooza and Tokyo Opera Hall. Private Parties have included weddings and corporate events throughout London and Europe, including Channel 4 UK, Hard Rock, X Factor, BGT, The Voice, Skavlan, Taratata, The David Letterman Show, and the many UK and overseas radio broadcasts.
