The Thorne String Quartet comprises four young
chamber musicians of the highest standard who have performed all
over the world to great acclaim. Formed in 1999 by award winning
students at Trinity College of Music the Thorne Quartet have gone on
to become one of the UK’s most innovative young ensembles. Also
working under the name Elysian Quartet the ensemble has performed at
the UK’s most prestigious venues, toured internationally and been
broadcast on both Radio 3 and classic fm. The quartet has also
appeared on BBC, Sky, ITV and channel 4 television and performed at
many high profile events and award ceremonies. Whether performing
classical or light repertoire the Thorne Quartet brings music of
world class recital quality to your special occasion.
